I remember when I was in high school Lerzan used to make friendship bracelets and we used to put them on! So image my surprise when they became oh so hip. So I asked Lerzan to make us some friendship bracelets. It's been a long time since she gave these to me but I just couldn't find the time to post. So I'm sharing some pics I've taken of them with my Iphone. Thank you Lerzan!!!

Snake prints and love, pure love

I told you before, I hate snakes. I can't even stand the word. However, damn fashion industry made me somehow like something about them. The serpent accessories are now one of my favs even though I will never be able to wear one thanks to my damn phobia. Another thing I like about serpents has now become the snake prints. We have been seeing them all over and it dawned on me today that I actually like them.

Will Christian Louboutin lose its trademark?

As you know, I am full time lawyer part time blogger. So when I see news that merge the two like this, my mouth waters. 

What is the first thing you think of when somebody says red soles? It's Christian Louboutin ("Louboutin"). Which is exactly why the designer and his company is fighting like crazy to protect its red sole. 

For those who don't remember, let me give you a quick summary. After years of applying and applying Louboutin finally got its trademark application approved in 2008. According to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, this trademark will mean that you cannot produce shoes with red soles if you're not Louboutin. This is exactly why Louboutin sued the Pinault-Printemps-Redoute ("PPR") company and one of the most popular luxury brands Yves Saint Laurent America ("YSL"). The court case, is about YSL producing shoes with red soles and Louboutin wanting to put a stop to it. The brand even asked for a preliminary injunction (with which the court would demand YSL to stop producing red sole shoes until the case was decided). However, the judge declined Louboutin's request which leads me to think that Louboutin might be facing a harsh decision.

A friend of mine is living in New York, so maybe if I act all cute and stuff I can get him (yes it's a he) to buy me Coco Blue or either one or maybe all :)....

Our good old Evil Eye has become the thing of the it girls

In Turkey having an evil eye bracelet, ring or a necklace is normal. We put them on to protect ourselves from the looks of others (i.e. from the evil eye). It is quite a Turkish thing so imagine my surprise when I saw my favorite blogger Leandre Medine of the Man Repeller with evil eye bracelets and also Chira Ferragni of the Blonde Salad bejeweling herself with evil eyes during her trip in İstanbul. Cute! :)


(Türkiye'de sizin de bildiğiniz gibi nazar boncuğu takmak dünyanın en normal şeyi.
