Jessica Alba's Doo.Ri Coat

Let me tell you from the beginning. I don't like Jessica Alba. I don't find her beautiful and her acting is so-so. She is not someone whose style I keep an eye on. However, her Golden Globe Gucci gown was very beautiful. She surprised me with her choice. Another big surprise is her Doo.Ri coat. This green coat is very cool. The color and the fact that it is ombre (which reflects one of the latest trends) is a reason to give her two thumbs up. I also loved the outfit with the Erdem pants she choose. She will never make my list but that doesn't mean I cannot appreciate her cool look.

Yeşil olması ve tonunun gittikçe azalması inanılmaz hoşuma gitti, kendisine bravo diyorum. Aynı zamanda kıyafetinin tümünü de beğendim. Seçtiği Erdem pantalon da baya iyi. Her ne kadar kendisi listemde yer alamayacak olsa da elbisesini beğendim.)

Zara Navajo Pants that every blogger have

Yello. I hope you had a fun weekend. Mine was oh so dull. I'm sure you have seen these Zara pants everywhere. They are now owned by every blogger including Andy of Style Scrapbook, Sandra of 5inch and up and Leandra of Man Repeller (who is my favorite blogger btw).

These pants are now on sale at Zara so if you can find one grab 'em. Me, I'm gonna buy these if they fit me.

Stop SOPA and PIPA

You might have heard the words SOPA and PIPA around. The bills Stop Online Piracy Act ("SOPA") and its little sister Protect IP Act ("PIPA") are bills aiming to protect copyright and stop piracy. Those of you who have not heard of these two might think so what?

Well let me explain without boring you to death (as legal issues might be boring for those who don't have it as a job). SOPA and PIPA foresee that any material shared on the web which does not belong to those who share it are an infringement of copyright. Accordingly, those who share such materials (you, me, everybody) will be penalized in the U.S. You might think it has nothing to do with your country if you're not from the US, but the explanation might have you thinking again. 

The best websites of our generation are Youtube, Tumblr, Wikipedia, Twitter and Google (etc.) right? Yes. However, according to SOPA and PIPA bills, these websites are infringing copyright. They will not ban these websites don't get me wrong, but as sharing will be illegal, the websites will not be used. So, it's just as if they ban them. 

These are very very small repercussions of SOPA and PIPA. If you want to learn more, go to Wikipedia and you will see that the bills are idiotic and should NOT BE PASSED.

Golden Globes Recap

The Golden Globes were yesterday and all the favorite celebs light up the red carpet. Thanks to them and their stylists we now know what to expect for the rest of the award season. A quick summary; a lot of fish tail hems (mermaid), sequins and emerald ran the show. 

(Golden Globe ödülleri dün akşamdı ve en sevdiğimiz ünlüler kırmızı halıyı ışıklandırdılar. Sayelerinde ve stilistlerinin sayesinde önümüzdeki ödül sezonunda ne beklememiz gerektiğini artık daha iyi biliyoruz. Kısa bir özet; denizkızı modeli etekler, parıltılar ve zümrüt takılar öne çıkmış durumda.)

My personal favorite was Sofia Vergara with her amazing Vera Wang gown. She looked stunning.

Perfection. Kate Beckinsale brings it with her Cavalli dress.

My biggest disappointment was Lea Michele. Some may like her Marchesa dress but I hated it.

Salma Hayek and Evan Rachel Wood both went for Gucci Premiere I think they are good choices.

I hate that Dior Haute Couture dress Charlize Theron chose. I mean, the top and the bottom are two different dresses. And that hair band. No! (I don't care how hot hair bands are (which I don't think they are anyway)).

I'm sorry what the hell is this? Artistic. Yes. But no way a dress to be worn to the Golden Globes.

I am undecided about Nicole Kidman's Versace dress. I either hate it or love it.

I would like to thank Red Carpet Fashion Awards for showing us these crazy yet somehow beautiful outfits of the one the only Lady Gaga. You might find her style to be too much but you have to appreciate her. Nobody can pull off the outfits she wears.
