So you did not get to buy the Isabel Marant Sneakers

Well you couldn't get to buy them because they are sold out. If you really wish to own them to go online (which is not the ultimate solution). However, if your ultimate goal is to own wedge sneakers, then stop crying.

When I was in middle school (which was in the 90's) wedged sneakers were hot. I remember crying like a baby to have my mom buy me one. Then that trend went to trash and so did my sneakers. Isabel Marant, being the new fashion icon brand decided to introduce the wedge sneakers last season. Which I could not decide to love or hate (and then decided to love). Everyone from Luxuryshoppers to Miranda Kerr to the Blonde Salad wore them shoving them to our unhappy face because we just could not find one (and believe me I know for a fact that some did really try).

Zara - the Oops factor

If you follow my blog, you must know that I love Zara. However, love did not turn me blind. You must also know that I am really cautious when it comes to knockoffs. See the previous post here.

My last visit to Zara was yesterday when I spotted one or two items which seemed "familiar". As if it was fate, I ran into this article from the New York Times talking about just that.

(Zara'ya en son dün gittim. Bu ziyaretimde bazı ürünler biraz fazla "tanıdık" geldi. Sanki kader bana oyun oynuyormuş gibi bugün de New York Times'ın bu makalesine rastladım.)

I appreciate what the Zara designers are trying to do, but instead of being this blunt, they might try to be a little subtle with the whole "inspiration" thing.
